Project Manager Powers Construction Inc.
We are seeking individuals who are great at what they do and bring positive , heads up , collaborative attitude to the job site.
Project Manager skilled in running large scale sites.
Self-Starter / Morning person / People Person / Solutions finder
Must have a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
Executes all aspects of the project plan and schedule and ensures compliance with budget while rendering the Architects & Clients vision.
Consults with engineers, designers, inspectors and owners as required to move project forward. Interacts regularly with client ensuring communication on time sensitive issues.
Ensures project materials and workmanship meets the project Quality Standards and Design requirements.
Source, price and order all materials for project. Prepare Cost Analysis for client approvals. Work with accounting to ensure suppliers are paid on time and billing to clients is accurate and in time for billing cycle.
Supervise and direct hourly general labourers, Carpenters and subcontractors assigned to project.
Ensures the implementation of Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite; adheres to the safety and record keeping requirements; integrate Safety Program in all sites specific plans and procedures to ensure a safe work environment with good record keeping requirements. Ensures all Visitors and Subs / new employees to site are given a Site Safety Orientation. Complete all records in IAuditor and ensure site safety meetings are happening on schedule and findings are being actioned.
Advises of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing / resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
Red Seal certification / Architecture Background / Designer or skills in these areas and four years of experience as finish carpenter. You are a proven problem solver and a person who can think on their feet and find solutions that enhance the final product.
Proficient in MS Project. / Excel / Ability to read and manipulate drawings using Adobe / Bluebeam / Sketchup / CAD and translate into fabricated finished products.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability with People – being able to harness a group effort and manage site with a growth mindset helping people deliver their best each day. A cool, level-headed approach to conflict resolution and finding solutions to the types of issue that come up on construction sites. A person who values relationships and what each trade brings to the project. Someone who leads by example, setting the pace.
Able to produce Management documents / Schedule updates and tracking / Work with Clients in a professional way and provide clear, concise communication on project and requirements.
Perform annual Staff evaluations for crew on your site with feedback on performance / strengths / goal setting and leadership.
Perform related duties as assigned or required.
