Summary of Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Clean all Common Washrooms and Guest Common Areas to a 5-star standard
  • Sign in and out keys daily
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance to OHS and WCB Standards
  • Record all area cleaned
  • Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Conduct Weekly and monthly Inventories
  • Stock Maids rooms and carts
  • Remove Garbage and recycling from Room attendants on the floors as directed
  • Attend to Conference activities, set up cleanliness as directed
  • Deliver requests for guests to suites
  • Clean and maintain office areas
  • Keep storage areas clean and maintained
  • Regular property security walk thru
  • Clean shower curtains, rags, dish cloths and tea towels
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Aspects of Position :

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following :

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Must be physically capable of performing repetitive work
  • Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a position requiring some hard physical work and a high standard of guest / customer service
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations
  • Must be available to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays
  • Visa Requirements : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
