31.25 to $33.95 per hour (plus 15% supervisory differential. Supervisory Differential is a percentage that is paid on top of the hourly rate for those who occupy a supervisor level position.)

Duties
The Highway Operations Maintenance Coordinators play an integral role in supervising work crews and ensuring the safety of Canadian roadways. This position will be responsible for the following :
- Train, orient, supervise and instruct operational staff
- Manage daily administrative tasks and maintain accurate records / documentation
- Coordinate / plan highway maintenance and the installation of projects for the Agency
- Lead health and safety efforts in the workplace
The incumbent of this position must be comfortable using computers, two-way radios and satellite phones to complete the duties of this position.

Maintenance Coordinators will report to work in one of our five operating areas within national park boundaries. During peak of winter operations, this position will work with a full team of skilled trade, labour and administrative professionals. Parks Canada places safety, collaboration and integrity at the forefront of all our work.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to fill anticipated vacancies within the Highway Operations Unit on an indeterminate, term, and / or acting basis.
This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic requirements in same or other parts of the country.

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma; or, an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Valid class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
EXPERIENCE
EX1 : Experience in programs related to year-round operations and maintenance of a major highway.
EX2 : Experience in heavy equipment operation, including snow removal, and labour disciplines.
EX3 : Experience in the inspection of highway assets, highway construction, and associated equipment.
EX4 : Experience in risk and Incident Management in a transportation operation.

A5 : Ability to use a computer and various software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PDF editors.
