We are a forward-thinking mineral exploration company committed to unlocking the potential of world-class resources responsibly and sustainably.Aurora Energy is currently seeking a Health and Safety Superintendent.The OpportunityAccountable to the Exploration Manager, the Health and Safety Superintendent is vital to achieving our safety objectives while maintaining operational efficiency. This role will lead our safety programs, fostering a team-focused approach to ensure every individual contributes to and benefits from a culture of safety excellence. The Health and Safety Superintendent is responsible for designing and implementing proactive safety programs, delivering interactive training, and conducting team-based risk assessments to address safety challenges. The role also includes managing incident investigations to drive improvement, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and tracking performance metrics to promote accountability. Engaging teams in continuous improvement activities and leveraging their input is key to enhancing safety practices and achieving excellence.Who You AreAs an ideal candidate, you will first and foremost bring a deep awareness and respect for the Inuit Peoples and land of Nunatsiavut Labrador. You possess relevant safety certifications, such as CRSP, and have strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations in mineral exploration.
