Reporting to the Director Human Resources Operations the Employee Health and Wellness Consultant will be responsible for the overall administration of the disability management program while building collaborative working relationships with our external disability partners. As a specialist in your field you will offer advice guidance and consultation while acting as a resource to leadership and human resources by providing coaching support around working with employees with health issues impacting the workplace employees returning to work following medical leave and / or requiring disability accommodation in a supportive environment.

Professional Qualifications & Competencies :

Post-Secondary education specializing in health sciences (nursing social work psychology or other applicable social sciences)

Education complimented by a minimum of at least 5 years of directly related work experience including health experience in service delivery disability case management and administrative functions working in a multi-unionized environment across provincial jurisdictions.

The designation or willing to achieve the designation of Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) would be considered an asset.

Demonstrate knowledge of provincial Workers Compensation Insurance current case law regarding duty to accommodate provision of medical information Human Rights and protection of privacy with a commitment and understanding of principles of equity diversity and inclusion.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity.
