Job descriptionOn-Site Hydraulic Hose Repair and Replacement : Travel to client locations to assess, diagnose, and repair or replace damaged hydraulic hoses on heavy machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, excavators, and more. Hose Fabrication : Use mobile tools and equipment to cut, crimp, and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings on-site based on the specific needs of the machinery. Troubleshooting : Identify hydraulic hose issues quickly and accurately, recommend appropriate solutions, and complete repairs efficiently. System Testing : Perform pressure testing after replacement to ensure the integrity of the hydraulic system and prevent future breakdowns. Customer Interaction : Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, explaining repairs, and providing preventative maintenance recommendations. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used, labor time, and any additional maintenance recommendations. Preventative Maintenance : Advise customers on best practices for extending the life of their hydraulic hoses and minimizing future breakdowns. Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for both the technician and the customer. Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, or a related field. Experience with heavy equipment and hydraulic hose systems is highly preferred. Technical Skills : Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems and operate mobile hose crimping equipment. Certification : Relevant technical certifications in hydraulic systems or heavy equipment repair are preferred but not required. Communication Skills : Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, both in person and over the phone. Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing hydraulic issues and providing effective repairs. Physical Ability : Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts, work in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods of time. Driver’s License : A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
