Job Summary
As a Surgery Technician for our Veterinary Services team in Senneville , you will be responsible to perform technical, perioperative, and surgical activities while maintaining aseptic and sterile conditions throughout the procedures. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
In this role, primary responsibilities include :
- Offer excellent animal care via all procedures performed;
- Preoperative tasks including subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, shaving and aseptic preparation of animals for surgery;
- Surgery room assistance for other surgeons and technicians performing procedures;
- Maintenance of the surgical suites;
- Anesthetizing animals and monitoring. Post operative procedures including anesthesia recovery, surgical site observations, clinical observations, and subsequent follow-ups;
- Read and follow standard operating procedures and procedure notes in order to assure optimal preparation and conduct for activities.
