Our client, a provider of large scale industrial construction, is seeking a General Manager for their Hamilton operations. This position is the most senior local role and will be looked to for people leadership and development, operations and business strategy. This is a phenomenal opportunity to take an existing business with strongly aligned processes, support, and market opportunities, to the next level.
The successful candidate will be an effective collaborator with a team-oriented approach to project management, operations and client development. The team would welcome a Senior Project Leader who is ready to step into operations management and be open to growing and contributing to an already successful business.

Responsibilities will include :
- Manage, coach, and support the operations functions within the company, providing leadership and direction to ensure proposal milestones and project timelines are met.
- Research and implement a focused plan to develop the strategic targets and opportunities, along with attaining achievable growth objectives.
- Build key relationships with target clients, identifying and mapping business opportunities and successfully converting them to customers.
- Actively participate in the marketing and proposal processes for bids as well as managing the preparation, evaluation and review of tenders and awards.
- Assist in managing budgets and maintaining project controls.
- Developing team members, exemplifying strong project management skills and best practices as it relates to scheduling, risk management, controls and communication as well as general business acumen.
- Monitor and maintain company processes including training, employee development, health and safety and other company regulated policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with safety, quality, finance and support services to execute a safe and operationally sound business.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal reporting and safety standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to team members regarding safety, performance and quality.
- Other duties as required.
