About Our Client :

Our client, a major transportation and logistics company, is hiring a Sales and Marketing Director located in New Brunswick, a Province becoming more and more a desired place to be due to much lower housing prices along with breathtaking nature trails, cottages, and a very serious approach to relaxation. The Sales &and Marketing Director will oversee a team of four, while being a hands on leader. In addition to raising your family in a great place, there is 25% travel across the east coast, all the way to Ontario, as well as into the Northeastern US!

We are looking for a leader who understands cross-border and domestic freight solutions through truckload, flatbed, bulk, container, and specialized logistics.

With a long history of operational excellence and a commitment to developing future leaders, the company offers an opportunity to join a high-performance environment with strong growth potential. You will be overseeing sales strategy, market expansion, pricing, and customer growth.

Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership

  • Develop, lead, and execute both long-term and short-term sales strategies across all business divisions
  • Build and deliver the annual Sales & Marketing plan, including revenue targets and growth objectives
  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and adjacent opportunities to expand the business
  • Develop pricing strategies and go-to-market plans for major customers and partnerships

Sales Management & Growth

  • Manage the full sales process, including pipeline development, targets, KPIs, and performance reporting
  • Guide and support a team of Sales Managers to achieve revenue, margin, and customer growth goals
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and lead strategic client meetings as needed
  • Oversee and grow brokerage-related revenue streams
  • Team Leadership

  • Coach, mentor, and develop Sales Managers, building a high-performance, team-oriented culture
  • Support succession planning and leadership development within the team
  • Foster collaboration across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Senior Leadership
  • Budgeting & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Set and manage the annual sales budget in collaboration with Finance
  • Partner with Operations to ensure service alignment, customer satisfaction, and delivery expectations
  • Provide market insights to support organizational strategy and decision-making
  • Required Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
  • Demonstrated success in growing revenue, expanding markets, and improving margins through pricing and mix strategies
  • Strong executive presence and confidence in high-level customer and senior leadership interactions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills (French an asset)
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities; proficiency with CRM systems, TMS tools, and Excel
  • Willingness and eligibility to travel cross-border (primarily to the Northeastern U.S.)
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA / EMBA considered an asset
