An employment opportunity has become available at a Plastics Manufacturing company with a growing team. Daily functions include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plans
  • Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
  • Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes
  • Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date
  • Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
  • Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area / Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
  • Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
  • This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information
  • Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
  • Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as : Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
  • Compile and monitor forecasting reports

Job Requirements :

  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
  • BA / BS degree in finance or a related field
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
  • Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
  • Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
  • Well-founded grasp of Fixed Asset Additions
  • Experience with Analyze Variance
  • Quality experience with financial statement preparation
  • Ledger Reconciliations experience
  • Practical knowledge of Amortization
  • Command of journal entries
  • Wide ranging experience with Analyze Financial Statements
  • Good understanding of Annual Budget
  • Month end closings experience desired
  • Earlier work involving intercompany accounts
  • General ledger experience
  • General familiarity with disposals
  • Proven knowledge of Fixed Asset Records
  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferential)
