We are looking for a Payroll Specialist responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This role involves managing all payroll activities, supporting audits, and overseeing financial planning and reporting related to employment costs, including reconciliation and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of payroll regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Supervise the annual payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls, and manage year-end payroll tax remittance and filings.
Ensure all payroll taxes and mandatory deductions are accurately calculated, reported, and remitted to government authorities, and act as the SPOC for government-related inquiries.
Conduct bi-annual budget reviews, validate payroll for new expats, calculate recharges bi-annually, and manage the execution of outsourced tax services.
Administer pension plans (defined contribution, defined benefit, and retiree pension & benefits), oversee pension remittance validation, and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SoX) regulations.
Manage the execution of outsourced services, focusing on service level agreements, cost management, and maintaining strong relationships with account managers.
Prepare and deliver accurate financial information (Budgets, Forecasts, and Actual results), track and report on savings, and oversee headcount to financials reporting and reconciliations.
Perform financial modelling, sensitivity, and scenario analysis, identify and implement efficiency improvements, and support internal stakeholders through proactive involvement and interaction.
Ensure month-end close activities and financial reporting are performed on time, perform monthly analytical reviews, and present Employment Cost performance to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bilingualism is required to support French and English speaking clients across Canada
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Proven experience in payroll processing and management, with strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
Proficiency in finance tools and systems, specifically SAP / BI / BPC, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle large volumes of information accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external parties.
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
