This hybrid position blends the impactful, student‑facing responsibilities of a Student Financial Planner with the critical, behind‑the‑scenes work of a Financial Administrator.
Compensation
$42,000–$43,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
Job Details
Job Type : Full‑time, Permanent, Onsite
Location : VaCC Abbotsford
Hours : Monday to Friday, 9 : 30 AM – 6 : 00 PM
Expected Start Date : ASAP
Primary Responsibilities (Student Financial Planner – ~75%)
- Meet with students to develop and review personalized payment and financial assistance plans, incorporating government funding, scholarships, and personal resources.
- Guide students through the financial aid process, ensuring applications are complete, timely, and accurate.
- Act as the campus expert on funding options and eligibility criteria.
- Maintain compliance with all internal and external financial policies, procedures, and provincial / federal regulations.
- Support the administrative functions of the campus, contributing to a seamless and student‑centric experience.
- Build strong, empathetic relationships with students, promoting financial literacy and responsible funding choices.
Secondary Responsibilities (Financial Administrator – ~25%)
