Financial Reporting & FP&A

Lead and execute the full month-end close process (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations).

Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Provide variance analysis, margin analysis, and key performance insights for management.

Maintain the chart of accounts, documentation, and accounting policies.

Inventory, Costing & Imports

Manage and maintain accurate landed cost calculations (freight, duty, brokerage, FX, logistics).

Reconcile inventory between warehouse, 3PL, and ERP systems.

Review inventory aging, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and recommend provisions.

Issue purchase orders and assist in optimizing inventory replenishment cycles.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and overseas suppliers on shipments and documentation.

Receivables, Payables & Cash Management

Oversee the AR / AP team, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.

Review dealer credit limits and enforce credit and payment terms.

Maintain weekly cash flow visibility and support the cash forecasting process.

Processes, Controls & Systems

Build and implement improved accounting processes, internal controls, and SOPs.

Support enhancements to the current accounting system and evaluate ERP / WMS transition options.

Ensure financial data integrity across systems and operational workflows.

Liaison & Communication

Communicate with manufacturers and Chinese suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, clarify product documentation, and negotiate payment terms.

Collaborate with operations, sales, and leadership on business cases, pricing analysis, and ad-hoc projects. About You

5–10+ years of accounting experience in distribution, import / export, wholesale, or manufacturing.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

Strong understanding of IFRS / ASPE / GAAP and inventory accounting.

Experience with QuickBooks Online and ERP / WMS systems (NetSuite, SAP, Acumatica, Sage, etc.).

Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.

Mandarin fluency strongly preferred to communicate with suppliers.

Experience in an entrepreneurial or high-growth company is a significant asset.

Detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable owning end-to-end accounting processes.

Salary Range

$105,000 - $115,000 / year
