Summary

STERIS’ Field Service Technician I will be responsible for frontline Customer support, using technical ability to perform or assist in preventative and corrective maintenance, either on-site or remotely, using various technology, tests, and procedures of AST equipment (Applied Sterilization Technologies). The position contributes to STERIS’ safety culture and ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, and global code of conduct. Must have the ability to obtain a passport and have the ability to travel internationally by plane 50%. In this role, you will support approximately 40 Customer sites, with 2 of those being in Canada.

What You’ll Do

• You will contribute in a team effort by performing in accordance with all STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles, and other directives.
• You’ll support the directives and decisions of higher level management.
• Utilize collaborative service tools and systems, as well as data collection tools to gather diagnostic information for analysis. Locate and read system schematics, drawings, and documentation.
• Participate in the assembly and installation of complex equipment, primarily as a development opportunity, and will perform service and installation.
• You’ll document service and produce timely, detailed service reports, including what work was completed, what parts need to be sent, next steps, and final resolution status.
