Our client, an industry leader in Critical Power Systems, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their Technical Services Team in the greater Toronto area for dispatch to client locations across the city.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct preventative maintenance on critical power and backup power systems
- Perform service and emergency repairs, including the preparation of detailed field reports
- Handle new installations, start-ups, and commissioning of equipment
- Calibrate and optimize specialized equipment for peak performance
- Utilize thermal imaging for analysis and reporting
- Conduct power quality analysis and generate corresponding reports
- Interpret and understand drawings and schematic diagrams
- Work with low, medium, and high voltage systems
- Operate and troubleshoot communications technology such as Modbus and SNMP
- Maintain and service DC plants and battery systems, including VRLA and flooded batteries
The Ideal Candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, strong technical skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and excellent communication abilities.
They will be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, and possess a strong commitment to customer service a proactive team player, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in all functions.
The successful candidate must :
- Be Reliability Security Clearance eligible ( 5 years in Canada)
- Posses a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Minimum one year of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) maintenance experience
