Robert Half is offering a contract opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst in the interior of British Columbia. The individual will be part of our IT team, providing first-line support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network issues. In addition, the Help Desk Analyst will also be instrumental in setting up and configuring devices, maintaining user accounts, and collaborating with IT teams to implement system updates. This 3-month contract position has the potential to extend, and includes free staff accommodation (2-bedroom apartment, not shared).

Responsibilities

• Offer first-tier IT support, resolving inquiries related to hardware, software, and network problems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to specialized IT teams
• Set up and configure employee devices, such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and printers
• Manage and maintain user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement system updates, migrations, and enhancements
• Document IT processes, solutions, system configurations, and user guides to build a robust knowledge base
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime
• Support IT projects, including system rollouts and process automation initiatives
• Develop training materials and provide user training for new systems and tools
• Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing measures to protect sensitive information
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Interested in temporarily relocating to the interior of British Columbia for a minimum of 3-months.
• Have access to a vehicle and class-5 drivers license.
• Experience providing tier 1 help desk support.
• Knowledge of Active Directory is a must.
• Understanding of Computer Hardware is necessary.
• Strong communication skills.
