Responsible for the preventative & maintenance activities for the Burlington and Waterloo sites; including the ability to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and maintain the operations of the facility. Provide on-call support during off hours. At times, will works with other functional groups, such as engineering and / or project management in the installation or repair of building support systems.
- Complete scheduled hands-on maintenance on all processes and systems including HVAC, chillers, air handling systems, boilers etc.
- Respond to all facilities issues or concerns as required such as lighting, office moves and bathroom plumbing issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance activities to ensure continuous up-time of the site
- Participate in Health and Safety Committee for site.
- Provide on-call support every other weekend alternating support with other facility staff member to respond to pages and trouble calls as necessary day or night.
- College diploma or apprentice in HVAC or Building Maintenance.
- 6+ years of related experience.
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with ability to trouble shoot.
- Customer oriented with ability to build rapport and relationships.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work with deadlines.
- Provide on-call support every other week / weekend, alternating support with other facility staff member to respond to pages and trouble calls as necessary day or night.
- Ability to respond to call ins at all hours of the day and night.
