Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated IB & OSSD English teacher to teach the Ontario Grade 12 The Writer’s Craft (EWC4U) course / IB Extended Essay (EE) course within the IB framework on a remote basis. This position involves delivering the course material, providing student support, and collaborating with academic staff in a culturally diverse environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a dynamic and effective online learning experience for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching :
- Deliver the EWC4U / EE course once a week for a 12-week period, totaling 18 synchronous teaching hours (excluding breaks).
- Engage with students remotely, maintaining an interactive and supportive online learning environment.
- Mark assignments, respond to student inquiries, and prepare report cards in alignment with the Ontario Ministry of Education’s assessment and reporting guidelines.
- Fulfill all responsibilities associated with the teaching role beyond class time, including administrative tasks and student progress monitoring.
- Collaboration :
- Work closely with the Vice Principal and online administration team to coordinate course-related tasks and ensure successful course delivery.
- Maintain ongoing communication with students and staff to foster a positive educational experience.
