Position Overview
New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Instructor, Electrician, Professional and Part-time Learning for the upcoming Solar Photovoltaic Systems, Installation, Connections, and Maintenance course. Casual to March 2026
Salary Range
$33.85 to $52.08 per hour, based on experience and level of post-secondary education.
Responsibilities
As part of the School of Professional and Part-time Learning and reporting to the Business Development Operations Manager, the Instructor is responsible for ensuring planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas may include, but may not be limited to :
- Solar PV Installation and Safety
- Solar Racking System
- Electrical Wiring and Cable Management
- Installation of MLPE’s and Solar Modules
- System Testing and Commissioning
- Electrical Codes and Authority Requirements
- Regulations and Electrical Codes
The successful incumbent must also be well versed in the use and interpretation of the Canadian Electrical Code as it relates to the above areas as well as be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
