Job Summary : Qualifications :
The Research Associate 1 is a person who possesses the qualifications and expertise to conduct research activities independently in collaboration with Primary Investigators and other researchers. The primary function of the Research Associate 1 is to independently perform a variety of research activities within a research program while developing strategies and capacity building to enable high-quality research. In doing so, duties may include oversight of other researchers and technical personnel and participation in various aspects of student research.
Required :
Level of Formal Education & Experience
- Normally holds a doctoral degree or relevant degree in a relevant discipline, or a Doctor of Medicine degree
- On an exception basis, those with an MSc and significant (>
5yrs) research experience and demonstrated ability to work independently may be considered.
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

This is a dynamic position with roles in biospecimen processing / storage / cataloguing, research support, team building and liaising and development of new research areas / assays / data to support new research initiatives.
