We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Spanish Teacher to join our Tanbridge Academy Team. Our ideal candidate can speak and write fluently in Spanish and can get students excited about learning the language in the classroom. You will follow the Alberta Education curriculum for Grades 1-4 students in Social Studies and Science and create a curriculum that enables students to read and write in Spanish, as well as speak both formally and conversationally. Cultural studies should be integrated throughout the curriculum to give students perspective on the history and development of the language. You will also be responsible for Grade 1-9 Spanish Language classes for developing foundational reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in the Spanish language. You must have a valid teaching license to apply for this role. Spanish Teacher Duties and Responsibilities Teach students the Spanish language, including grammar and vocabulary Design curriculum lesson plans Assign coursework and administer tests Grade assignments, write report cards Incorporate classroom learning activities Follow all school policies Spanish Teacher Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor of Education Degree Fluency in the Spanish language Communication skills Passion in working with students from Grades 1-9 Job Types : Full-time, part-time Expected hours : 40 per week Benefits : Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Paid time off RRSP match Vision care Schedule : Monday to Friday Work Location : In person
