Job description

Join Stantec as a Team Lead - Environmental Characterization and Remediation. The position is based at our office in Ville Saint-Laurent, Quebec.

Reporting to the Director of Operations (BCOL), you will be part of the management team of Environmental Services. You will use your leadership skills to guide and develop a highly competent and motivated team, while ensuring that projects meet and exceed our client’s expectations.

Your main responsibilities

In addition to managing geo-environmental projects, you will have the following responsibilities as a team lead :

Manage the resource allocation and professional development of Environmental Services team members working in your discipline.

Supervise junior team members and support their career development.

Conduct regular team meetings and communicate information.

Promote a culture of health and safety within the team.

Support the team in achieving billability targets.

Promote a culture of innovation within the team.

Inspire a culture of collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Attract, develop, coach, and retain high quality talent.

Conduct year-end performance appraisals of team members.

Participer aux projets et initiatives de solutions climatiques, y compris :

Identifier les risques et les vulnérabilités;

Analyser les impacts sur les environnements construits et naturels, et sur les communautés;

Évaluer et classer les risques par ordre de priorité en fonction des critères du client;

Recommander des mesures d'adaptation pour réduire les risques, y compris des solutions techniques, mais aussi la mise en œuvre de politiques, de réglementations, de normes, de procédures opérationnelles et de plans d'urgence;

Élaborer des plans d'adaptation.

Être une référence en matière de solutions climatiques pour les collègues de l'équipe Solutions climatiques et fournir un soutien dans tous les domaines d'activité de Stantec (environnement, planification urbaine, bâtiments, transport, énergie et ressources, infrastructure et eau).

Préparer des propositions techniques efficaces et diriger le développement d’affaires et relations avec les clients.

Votre parcours

Expérience d'au moins 15 ans dans un domaine lié au changement climatique.

Connaissance des défis liés au changement climatique au Canada.

Volonté de voyager au Canada et à l'étranger.

Force en communication (écrite / verbale) Français et Anglais, réflexion stratégique, négociation, présentation et compétences relationnelles.

Baccalauréat en ingénierie, en sciences de l'environnement, en planification, en économie ou dans une discipline connexe.

Bonne connaissance des outils et des normes liés à l'évaluation, à l'analyse et à la gestion des risques.

Connaissance des bonnes pratiques en matière de mesures d'adaptation et de leur mise en œuvre.

Expérience de la facilitation de réunions avec des participants aux compétences diverses.

Réflexion stratégique, négociation, analyse, présentation et compétences interpersonnelles.
