Job description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR team at IPH Limited in any of our offices in Ontario or Quebec (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City).

Responsibilities :

  • Processing bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, deductions, and adjustments;
  • Ensuring payroll system accuracy and implement applicable controls and audits; assist with any system upgrades or modifications;
  • Assisting in the preparation of payroll-related documents such as T4 slips and Record of Employment (ROEs), ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations;
  • Reviewing contractor invoices and time submissions for hourly employees to ensure proper payments are made, in line with payroll policies;
  • Assisting with and handle payroll-related employee inquiries, providing timely and accurate support;
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and prepare reports as required by both internal teams and external parties;
  • Updating the HRIS system to reflect necessary changes in pay including salary increases, unpaid leaves, promotions, etc;
  • Staying up-to-date with changes to statutory payroll laws and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal company policies;
  • Performing other payroll-related tasks as assigned;
  • Project support as required, including but not limited to, implementation of new systems, implementing streamlined payroll processes to reduce manual effort etc.

Knowledge and Experience :

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, payroll administration, or a related field;
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably within a legal or professional services environment;
  • Proficiency in French and English;
  • Proficiency with Dayforce / Ceridian;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to new technologies;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional client service;
  • Excellent time-management, interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information, exercising discretion as needed.

    Nous recherchons un(e) Spécialiste Bilingue de la Paie expérimenté pour rejoindre notre équipe RH dynamique chez IPH Limited. Ce poste peut être basé à Montréal, Québec, Ottawa ou Toronto.

    Responsabilités :

  • Traiter la paie bimensuelle, en veillant à ce que les calculs des salaires, des déductions et des ajustements soient exacts;
  • Assurer l’exactitude des données du système de paie et mettre en œuvre les contrôles et audits applicables, aider avec les mises à jour ou modifications du système;
  • Aider à la préparation des documents liés à la paie tels que les feuillets T4 et les relevés d’emploi (RE), en veillant à la conformité avec les réglementations canadiennes;
  • Examiner les factures des employés contractuels et les soumissions de temps des employés pour s’assurer que les paiements appropriés sont effectués, conformément aux politiques de paie;
  • Aider et gérer les demandes des employés liées à la paie, en fournissant un soutien rapide et précis;
  • Maintenir des dossiers de paie précis et préparer des rapports selon les besoins des équipes internes et des parties externes;
  • Mettre à jour le système RHIS pour refléter les changements nécessaires dans la paie, y compris les augmentations de salaire, les congés non payés, les promotions, etc;
  • Se tenir au courant des changements dans les lois sur la paie et assurer la conformité avec les réglementations pertinentes et les politiques internes de l’entreprise;
  • Effectuer d’autres tâches liées à la paie selon les besoins;
  • Soutien aux projets selon les besoins, y compris, mais sans s’y limiter, la mise en œuvre de nouveaux systèmes, la mise en œuvre de processus de paie rationalisés pour réduire les efforts manuels, etc.
  • Connaissances et expérience :

  • Diplôme ou baccalauréat en comptabilité, administration de la paie ou dans un domaine connexe;
  • 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en administration de la paie, de préférence dans un environnement juridique ou de services professionnels;
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais;
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de paie et des systèmes RHIS, en particulier Dayforce / Ceridian;
  • Maîtrise de la suite MS Office, avec la capacité de s’adapter aux nouvelles technologies;
  • Grande attention aux détails et engagement à fournir un service client exceptionnel;
  • Excellentes compétences en gestion du temps, en relations interpersonnelles et capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches;
  • Capacité à maintenir la confidentialité et la sécurité des informations sensibles sur la paie, en faisant preuve de discrétion au besoin.
