The Role
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR team at IPH Limited in any of our offices in Ontario or Quebec (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City).
Responsibilities :
- Processing bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, deductions, and adjustments;
- Ensuring payroll system accuracy and implement applicable controls and audits; assist with any system upgrades or modifications;
- Assisting in the preparation of payroll-related documents such as T4 slips and Record of Employment (ROEs), ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations;
- Reviewing contractor invoices and time submissions for hourly employees to ensure proper payments are made, in line with payroll policies;
- Assisting with and handle payroll-related employee inquiries, providing timely and accurate support;
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and prepare reports as required by both internal teams and external parties;
- Updating the HRIS system to reflect necessary changes in pay including salary increases, unpaid leaves, promotions, etc;
- Staying up-to-date with changes to statutory payroll laws and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal company policies;
- Performing other payroll-related tasks as assigned;
- Project support as required, including but not limited to, implementation of new systems, implementing streamlined payroll processes to reduce manual effort etc.
