Overview
Our client, a leader in their industry, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with in-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and previous experience in the manufacturing. The Payroll Specialist will ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is an onsite position with no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing : Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations. Manage employee data updates, adjustments, deductions, and benefits processing.
- Benefits Administration & Compliance : Administer group benefits, handle new hire enrollment, and manage ROEs, remittances, and tax slips.
- Reporting : Prepare statutory reports (e.g., T4s), government remittances, and regular payroll reports.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments to ensure integration of payroll data and provide guidance on payroll matters.
- System Management : Maintain payroll systems and ensure compliance with wage and tax laws.
Experience : Minimum of 3+ years in payroll, with expertise in Canadian payroll regulations.
Skills : Proficient in payroll systems, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication.
Knowledge : Deep understanding of statutory regulations and payroll best practices in Ontario, Canada.
