Cabin Resource Management Ltd. seeks a motivated Junior Forest Technician to join its Forestry team. This entry-level role in forestry involves GPS data collection, riparian assessments, timber cruising assistance, and fieldwork in all weather conditions. Candidates should be passionate about forestry and possess relevant education or experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct GPS and field data collection and management
• Perform riparian assessments to evaluate waterway health
• Assist in timber cruising to estimate volume and quality
• Traverse and survey road/cut block locations
• Collect data for site plans and environmental assessments
Requirements:
• Proven commitment to workplace safety
• Passion for forestry and teamwork skills
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Education in forestry or related fields preferred
• Previous forestry experience is an asset
