Job descriptionEvaluate the enterprise’s business and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) architecture. Assess its consistency and integration with the organization’s business and ICT strategies. Determine its alignment with Treasury Board CIO Business Transformation Enablement Program (BTEP) and Federated Architecture Program (FAP). Recommend changes to the business / ICT architecture to improve alignment with these external frameworks. Identify future business and ICT requirements in relation to the current enterprise architecture. Perform gap analyses, develop Requirements for Technology Architectures (RTA), and prepare migration strategies. Assess the feasibility of migrating from the current state to the target business architecture and enabling technologies. Identify risks associated with migration and recommend mitigation strategies. Identify business and technology trends that create opportunities for improvement. Advise senior business and ICT executives on trends and emerging technologies, as well as their impact on the organization’s and government’s ICT architectures and business strategies. Model “What if” scenarios and recommend changes to the existing architecture and ICT infrastructure. Propose alternative solutions, methodologies, and strategies. Produce an architectural evolution plan and recommend prioritization of initiatives. Develop and implement the architectural evolution plan. Manage the development and implementation of architectural improvement plans. Coach, mentor, and train the organization to perform the aforementioned activities. Leading the delivery and hands-on development of cloud-based data analytics solutions using services such as Data Lake Gen 2, Synapse Workspaces, and Azure ML Workspaces. Creating data ingestion pipelines in Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines. Implementing automation tools and frameworks for automated code deployment (CI / CD). Conducting data quality analysis, monitoring, and operations. Ensuring quality control and management of the code base. Designing, modeling, and architecting databases to store unstructured data. Performing complex data analysis. Querying and ingesting data using Python, SQL, or Spark.
