Job description

Position : Operations Supervisor

Location : Remote (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm)

Salary $65,000.00 to $70,000.00, benefits, 3 weeks’ vacation

Our client supports ground transportation services in Northern Ontario and is ideal for one who values being part of a well-established family business recognized in the community. A blend of experience in operations, sales and ground transportation is required.

Reporting to the Owner / President, this leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, manage a team of drivers, interact with clients, external stakeholders, drive sales and contribute to revenue growth.

Responsibilities include :

  • Oversee daily operations of non-emergency transportation service, drive charter sales, revenue growth aligned to company goals.
  • Manage a team of Drivers, provide guidance and leadership including recruitment and performance reviews.
  • Be responsible for recruitment, implementing policies and payroll management.
  • Develop and build strong working relationships with community hospitals and health centers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations aligned to the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) Health & Safety and Ministry of Labour.
  • Act as a champion of the business, maintain quality control, support growth and success of the business.
  • Provide support as required.

Qualifications :

  • Post secondary education in business administration OR a related field.
  • At least 5 years in the transportation industry (medical transportation is an asset) and expertise leading a small team, managing operations, driving sales and client service.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French.
  • Decisive leader, proactive, resourceful, ability to act with urgency and effective in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates commitment and well-informed.

    Notre client offre des services de transport terrestre dans le nord de l'Ontario et est idéal pour une personne qui apprécie de faire partie d'une entreprise familiale bien établie et reconnue dans la communauté. Une combinaison d'expérience dans les opérations, les ventes et le transport terrestre est requise.

    Relevant du propriétaire / président, ce rôle de leadership consiste à superviser les opérations quotidiennes de transport, à gérer une équipe de chauffeurs, à interagir avec les clients et les intervenants externes, à stimuler les ventes et à contribuer à la croissance du chiffre d'affaires.

    Les responsabilités sont les suivantes :

  • Superviser les opérations quotidiennes du service de transport non urgent, stimuler les ventes et la croissance du chiffre d'affaires conformément aux objectifs de l'entreprise
  • Gérer une équipe de chauffeurs, fournir des conseils et une direction, y compris le recrutement et l'évaluation des performances
  • Être responsable du recrutement, de la mise en œuvre des politiques et de la gestion des salaires
  • Développer et construire de solides relations de travail avec les hôpitaux et les centres de santé de la communauté
  • Veiller au respect des règles de sécurité en accord avec le ministère des Transports de l'Ontario (MTO), le ministère de la Santé et de la Sécurité et le ministère du Travail
  • Agir en tant que champion de l'entreprise, maintenir le contrôle de la qualité, soutenir la croissance et le succès de l'entreprise
  • Fournir le soutien nécessaire
  • Qualifications :

  • Études postsecondaires en administration des affaires OU dans un domaine connexe
  • Au moins 5 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie du transport (le transport médical est un atout) et une expertise dans la direction d'une petite équipe, la gestion des opérations, la stimulation des ventes et le service à la clientèle
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication en anglais et en français
  • Leader décisif, proactif, plein de ressources, capable d'agir dans l'urgence et efficace dans la prise de décision et la résolution de problèmes
  • Faire preuve d'engagement et êtes bien informé
