Title - Bilingual Customer Account Associate / Collection Agent
Location - Markham, ON
Pay Rate - $27.00 (+$1.50 premium for French)
Note - The hours are from 8 : 15 a.m. 4 : 30 p.m.
Late shift are from 11 : 45 a.m. 8 : 00 p.m.
Must be able to work between the hours of 8 : 00 am to 8 : 00 pm
We are currently hiring for an exciting contract role as a Customer Accounts Associate, reporting to the Supervisor of Collections.
This role will reside in our Markham Head Office.
What you will be doing :
- Identify potential losses early and acts on them with a sense of urgency, while controlling repossessions
- Negotiate total losses
- Follow up on escalated and cancelled insurance accounts
- Recommend to Supervisor, the repossession for delinquent accounts when all methods for collection have been exhausted to minimize loss ratios and repossessions to meet objectives.
- Handle repossession disposal when appropriate maintaining delinquent accounts as per delinquency objectives
- Prepare and send all necessary paperwork and legal documentation to customer.
- Respond to customer requests with a Customer First approach
- Complete other departmental duties as required
Maintain customer contact notes in the Host system in accordance with company standards
What you bring :
- Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills
- Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Bilingual written and oral fluency in English and French
- University Degree or College diploma, preferably in a business-related field
