Pre-to-Kindergarten Pastor

Position DescriptionYoung Nak Church Toronto is becoming an intergenerational missional church under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Minho Song. We are located in the northeast area of Toronto and are a member of the Korean Presbyterian Church Abroad (KPCA). Currently, we are seeking a part-time pastor to lead and shepherd our English-speaking Pre-to-Kindergarten Ministry (ages 3-5 years old). The successful candidate will join the English Ministry Pastors team overseeing the English-speaking ministries of Young Nak. Qualifications M.Div. / MTS graduate or currently studying towards M.Div. / MTS from an ATS accredited seminaryLegally able to work in CanadaA pastoral heartFluency in English, both written and verbalAble to communicate in Korean is beneficial, but not requiredAble to navigate between first generation Korean culture and second / third generation culture is beneficial, but not requiredVulnerable Sector Check required Duties Leading worship and preaching God's Word each SundayPreparing crafts / activities that help the children to grasp God's WordDiscipling and pastoral care for volunteer teachers and childrenOrganizing fellowship events for Pre-K to Kindergarten childrenAssisting with Children's Ministry activities / events (e.g. AWANA, VBS, Hallelujah Night, Christmas Concert, etc.)Part of the preaching rotation for children's message at monthly family worshipWorking and communicating with families, Ministry Deacons, Education Elder, Education Director, and Senior Pastor to plan and implement ministry vision and goalsWeekly ministry reports submitted to the Education Director.In-person office hours on Saturdays (10am-12pm) along with Education Pastors meetingsAttending Education Committee meetings once a quarter Expected hours : 15-20 hours / weekTo apply please send the following to Rev.
