The Role : As an LPN in ER, you will provide patient care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with acute medical conditions.
Responsibilities :
Conduct rapid assessments of patients to determine the urgency and severity of injuries or illnesses in a high-pressure environment.
Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians or advanced practice providers, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery.
Monitor and document vital signs and critical patient data, including lab results and diagnostic tests, with attention to detail.
Collaborate with the emergency healthcare team to develop and implement immediate care plans.
Provide clear communication and support to patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions.
Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff, adhering strictly to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Current, unrestricted LPN license in your province.
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency setting.
BLS, ACLS, NRP, CTAS and PALS certification.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
