ABOUT COULSON AVIATION AUSTRALIA

Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting leader Coulson Aviation and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organisations with the provision of heavy aircraft and experienced team members.

Coulson Aviation Australia operates the New South Wales Rural Fire Service fleet of aerial firefighting and emergency services assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With a diverse fleet of a Boeing 737 FIRELINER™, Citation and King Air Command / Control aircraft, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters we operate a high paced year round operation.

In addition to the operation, Coulson Aviation Australia also manage all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems and management.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are currently seeking motivated Aircrew Officers to join our Bell 412 operations in New South Wales, Australia. The right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment conducting aerial firefighting and flood response, crew / equipment transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, disaster mitigation and related operations in support of emergency services. They must have a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires flexibility and working away from home base at short notice and offers competitive salary and an emphasis on work / life balance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

  • The right to live and work in Australia
  • Vehicle Drivers License
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Class 2 Medical
  • Excellent crew resource management and communication skills.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Certificate III in (Rescue Crew Officer) or Certificate IV Aviation (Aircrewman)
  • SAR / Rescue / Fire personnel winching operational qualifications and experience
  • External Load (Sling load) Rigging techniques operational experience
  • Knowledge and experience in aerial firefighting operations
  • HUET Certificate of Competency
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate of Competency
  • NVIS Aircrew member.
  • Aircrew Member Instructor / training qualifications
