Overview
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join our systems engineering team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on high-technology government and civil projects in a stimulating environment.
Salary : $120,000 to $170,000 annually
Work Mode : 100% on-site
Location : Mirabel, QC - On-site Position
Responsibilities
- Analyze project, production, and certification requirements to propose technical solutions adapted to avionics and electrical systems
- Participate in systems integration : component selection, interface compatibility verification, electrical schematic development, and installation requirements definition
- Prepare test plans and procedures, interpret results, and write qualification reports for functional and certification tests, both at component and aircraft level
- Update requirements in management tools (e.g., DOORS) related to modifications made
- Draft and review certification plans, qualification plans, and compliance matrices
- Perform technical analyses to support certification (electrical and thermal loads, safety analyses, electromagnetic compatibility, etc.)
- Support tests performed on aircraft as well as in integration laboratories (SIL), including troubleshooting activities
- Contribute to first aircraft installations (FAI)
- Collaborate with avionics system suppliers for development, integration, and testing of various equipment
- Review technical documentation provided by partners
- Communicate regularly in English with teams located outside Quebec as well as with international suppliers, partners, and customers
