Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role
Cameco’s business technology services (BTS) department provides vital services to world-wide operations utilizing a variety of technologies to support key operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, team-player to join the records management group to support the electronic document records management (EDRM) initiatives across the organization.
In this role, you will:
- Work within a team of technical experts and process owners to understand the needs of the business and match them with capabilities of the application to optimize the management of electronic documents.
- Use tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Purview and manage the full lifecycle of digital records - helping teams work smarter, protecting sensitive information, and ensuring Cameco meets its legal and regulatory obligations.
- Design and configure SharePoint sites with lists, libraries and content types.
- Align configuration with Cameco’s Classification and Records Retention schedules (CARRS).
- Configure retention labels, label policies, sensitivity labels, trainable classifiers and sensitive info types in Microsoft Purview.
- Practise change management skills to support the business through the implementation of EDRM and to ensure adoption, utilization as well as continuous improvement.
Required:
- bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science, business or an applicable field;
- minimum three years of experience configuring and managing SharePoint online;
- 2+ years of experience working with records management and electronic document management system implementations;
- experience working with the business to gather requirements and understand processes; and
- excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills
Recommended:
- SC‑400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator (Associate);
- knowledge of legal holds, eDiscovery and defensible disposition; and
- familiarity with Microsoft 365 compliance features beyond records management.
