EBC is actively seeking a Quality Manager in Vancouver, BC, where they will utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. The Quality Manager will be responsible for the planning, leadership, coordination and management of QMS implementation on a project. This position reports to the Director of Quality.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Under the direction of the Director of Quality, it is the Quality Manager's responsibility for managing all aspects of the quality processes and programs and ensure the timely completion and meeting of expectations for all Quality-related projects and elements, while maintaining long-term stakeholder relationships and managing and mentoring junior quality staff and other team personnel.
- Involvement in regulatory QMS audits, review and update of the QMS, development and implementation of new Quality Process documents, management of KPIs, and lessons learned and best practices.
- The incumbent maintains a relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement with the vision of meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations, and is highly proficient with the technical, leadership, and communication skills required to manage a complex QMS with autonomy.
- Essential Functions include :
- Ensure that the quality processes are in place and refined to provide final closeout of projects.
- Maintain relationships and communication tools as needed with suppliers and other key project personnel to verify that the quality of the supplied materials / services can be reasonably assured.
- Develop and communicate the performance standards and metrics by which the quality will be measured.
- Assist with the oversight of development and implementation of an organizational and responsibility matrix for the Quality team.
- Initiate and assist with the development of new quality protocols and processes.
- Establish and implement KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for monitoring the Quality system implementation and effectiveness.
- Maintain accountability for communicating, leading, and lagging KPIs to the organization.
- Develop regular status reports for the client and the Quality Director, detailing status of QMS and recommending actions to be taken.
- Establish and maintain relationships with the project consultants, clients, vendors, and key specialist subcontractors, as well as other stakeholders such as design teams, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support EBC's core values.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting or exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
- Execute written correspondence to external parties (clients, partners, government agencies, etc.) on behalf of the company.
- Present information / reports to senior business unit leaders.
- Demonstrate HSE and Quality behaviours that reflect corporate expectations of Zero Incident Culture.
