Job description

Automotive Technician – General Motors (GM)

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service department specializing in General Motors vehicles including Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac. The successful candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on gasoline and diesel engines including Duramax diesel systems
  • Troubleshoot engine performance, fuel systems, electrical systems, and emissions components
  • Use GM diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service software
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and scheduled service work
  • Repair braking, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems
  • Complete repairs according to GM manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records

Requirements

  • Experience as an Automotive Technician / Automotive Service Technician
  • Experience working with General Motors vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using electronic diagnostic tools and scan equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own professional tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • GM dealership experience
  • Automotive Service Technician certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience servicing Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, or Cadillac vehicles
