Our Global Infrastructure Advisory team is looking for a manager-level professional with experience in procurement and commercial structuring of major projects to join our practice in Vancouver. This opportunity would be particularly well suited to applicants with experience in progressive or collaborative contract types.
KPMG's Global Infrastructure Advisory team brings together a broad range of expertise that addresses all stages of the project lifecycle, covering strategy and planning, procurement, delivery and financing and operations and asset management. Our team is comprised of economists, engineers, financial advisors, strategists, project managers and construction and operations professionals with deep, global industry experience, who bring a diverse range of experience and perspectives to our clients.
Our national team has deep expertise that is respected and sought after by clients across the country and in all major infrastructure sectors, including conventional power, renewables, transport, water, waste, and social infrastructure. Working at KPMG, you will have the ability to work with our country-wide network of professionals and deliver positive outcomes for our clients on nationally significant projects.
What you will do
- Work in a dynamic team environment to provide procurement, commercial and strategic infrastructure advice across various sectors with a particular focus on the front end of the project lifecycle (business case development and procurement).
- Contribute to the preparation of business cases, financial feasibility studies and market / sector analyses.
- Prepare procurement strategies, informed by risk assessments and options analyses and validated through market soundings.
- Develop procurement and contractual documentation, including request for qualification / proposal documentation, evaluation frameworks and commercial components of project agreements.
- Support clients in the evaluation and negotiation stages of procurement processes.
- Develop and implement project governance, project management frameworks and related project delivery resources.
- Bring innovative thinking and problem solving to the challenges of major project planning and delivery.
- Keep across current market trends and developments, to the benefit of the team and our clients.
- Undertake project / engagement management and client communication and reporting.
- Oversee the contributions of junior advisory personnel, provide on the job training and mentoring and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the team.
- Assist in marketing and business development including proposal preparation and the development of client relationships.
What you bring to the role
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $65,500 to $102,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program
