We’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to lead and improve organic search performance while supporting our SEM team. You thrive on solving challenges, analyzing data, and uncovering ways to drive better results. You’ll take full ownership of SEO metrics, ensuring the channel runs effectively and delivers strong outcomes. The ideal candidate has expertise in authority building, technical optimization, content strategy, and keyword development. This role requires close collaboration with multiple teams to implement improvements, track performance, and align on search initiatives. This role is intended to allow for a Hybrid work location split, but only for Montreal and surrounding area candidates. Key Responsibilties : Authority and Technical SEO Develop authority-building strategies, including backlink development and creative branding initiatives. Audit and resolve technical SEO issues like broken links, site architecture problems, and schema markup gaps. Implement systems to monitor backlinks, crawl budgets, and site performance, addressing issues proactively. Content and Keyword Growth Develop and execute a high-value content strategy to boost topical authority and improve the user journey. Expand our portfolio of shopping-focused keywords to drive visibility and increase sales. Ensure content is created to support these strategies, monitor performance, and optimize for better results. Keyword and Page Optimization Ensure key pages target the right keywords and are optimized to improve rankings. Collaborate with paid ads teams to align organic and paid keyword strategies for optimal performance. Monitor keyword rankings, refine strategies to stay competitive, and analyze competitors. Qualifications : Proven track record of success in SEO through past roles or personal projects. A foundational understanding of how websites function and how technical aspects influence SEO, without requiring developer expertise Expertise in identifying keyword gaps and developing comprehensive content strategies to build subject authority. Proven ability in proactive link building through direct outreach to secure strategic backlinks in key business verticals. Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage in proactive outreach initiatives, including link building. Familiarity with paid advertising and its relationship to organic search. Nice-to-Have : Bilingual in French and English, particularly in written form. Basic Programming knowledge (e.g., Python) and / or Knowledge of SQL Understanding of statistical concepts for designing and interpreting A / B tests. Degree in a human-centered field, such as psychology or marketing. Passion for boating, mountain biking, motorcycles, or any related powersports field!
