Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable Haul Truck Operator to join our local team. As a Haul Truck Driver you are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of aggregate materials around our quarry/pit in location.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Operate the haul truck to transport rock products to the plant and stockpiles as directed

  • Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time

  • Operate other mobile plant equipment as needed (ie. Water Truck, Loader)

  • Work in all areas of the plant as needed

  • Report mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions

What We Are Looking For

  • Prior haul truck (or other large mobile equipment) experience preferred

  • Previous experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products is an asset

  • Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required

  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
