Franklin Empire is a leading full line electrical distributor with a long history of continuous growth and success. There are currently twenty three branches established in Ontario and Quebec. We represent many quality manufacturers and offer products and solutions for the industrial, commercial, residential and utility markets. This opportunity involves the sales and support of our industrial automation products with particular focus on our safety and sensor lines.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to become our specialist and business developer for our safety and sensor product offerings. Your area of coverage would be the Southwest Ontario region.

As an Application Specialist you will be expected to support sales activities through specialized technical knowledge and product applications. As part of our dynamic sales team, you will be responsible for technical service and support, designing technical solutions, and technical presentations/training at customers’ sites.

You will work with our Sales Representatives to penetrate accounts with these key products and to assist to implement new sales strategies to develop new accounts.

The candidate must possess a knowledge of automation systems with skills in dealing with safety and sensors applications.

QUALIFICATIONS

We require an individual with proven technical skills and a customer service focus. We are seeking a candidate with an Engineering Degree, Engineering Certification or equivalent with a minimum of two to three years related experience and/or training.

The candidate must be self-driven and have the ability to work well with others. We expect a strong technical and organizational skill set, plus excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of sensing and safety products is an asset. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and be fluent in English. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software. The Candidate must have a valid driver license and own a car.

Compensation package is around $70,000 to $80,000 CDN including bonus and benefits.
