  • SUMMARY

    The Director of Sales, Refuse will report to the VP, FS Aftermarket ("FSA") and will have overall responsibility for the strategy and execution of the company’s refuse product sales across Canada and USA territories. This leadership role is focused on driving the refuse division’s sales strategy, supporting the refuse sales team members and ensuring the achievement of annual growth targets across diverse regional markets.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

    Education / Cerfication

  • Bachelor’s Degree required – Business, Marketing or related field
  • MBA / Master’s preferred
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must have, or be willing and able to obtain a valid passport
  • Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership within the refuse industry
  • Expert in understanding the end-to-end equipment sales cycle
  • Highly proficient with CRM programs and other sales tools / BI platforms
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C sales process
  • Demonstrated experience successfully developing new or underserved markets
  • Strong business acumen, communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong technical / mechanical aptitude
  • POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the division’s sales strategy aligned with corporate goals and market opportunities
  • Identify and prioritize growth markets and put plans in place to improve market share
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Core Sales, Rentals, Parts & Service) to create innovative strategies and plans that lead to desired business outcomes
  • Be responsible for developing the annual operating plan (AOP) for the division and providing accurate and timely forecast updates each month based on orders, backlog, market changes and customer requirements
  • Develop and present to senior leadership or corporate team regarding strategic plans and market opportunities
  • Sales Execution & Growth

  • Own the division’s sales targets and ensure consistent year-over-year growth
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to inform and drive sales strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, OEMs, business partners and stakeholders serving as a champion and expert in the industry on behalf of the company
  • Operational Excellence

  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes for the division
  • Ensure CRM and sales tools are effectively utilized in alignment with internal company processes and requirements
  • Champion data-driven decision making and continuous improvement within the division
  • Team Support

  • Support employees within the sales team to identify opportunities and execute on sales strategies with refuse customers
  • Provide training and guidance on technical aspects of the products
  • Directly manage Refuse Sales Managers helping them to achieve sales goals
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Supervision of Others

  • ~1-3 direct reports (RSM, Inside Sales Specialist)
  • Travel Requirements

  • ~25% - 50% time spent in field throughout North America
