The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Director of Traffic Engineering. The Director of Traffic Engineering is a key management position within the department reporting to the Executive Director (ED) of Highway Engineering Services (HES) and to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) of Engineering & Technical Services Division (ETSD). The Director of Traffic Engineering leads and manages the Traffic Engineering Branch, establishing and enforcing engineering standards and related policies; delivering capital and operational programs for traffic signals and signage; managing road safety; and providing expert advice and guidance on matters related to traffic engineering.
Conditions of Employment :
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) with appropriate scope of practice in Civil / Transportation engineering
- Must be a registered member (or eligible for registration) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Must be able to travel throughout the province by air, marine and / or ground transportation
