Position : R&D Test Technician Location : Saint-LaurentSalary : $55-65K + full benefits Job Type : Full-time in office with flexible hours An international leading company in electrical and mechanical solutions is seeking an R&D Test Technician to join their team to contribute to new technological projects. This is a full-time permanent position, and the company offers a very amicable work environment plus excellent benefits as well as a flexible work schedule!As a Test Technician, you will oversee laboratory organization, prototype construction, testing, documentation, and quality control procedures within an engineering environment.Overview of the tasks : - Arranging the laboratory space and handling the setup, removal, and storage of products in development along with measuring instruments. - Interpreting technical drawings, electrical, and mechanical schematics. - Constructing prototypes and test benches, both electrical and mechanical, with guidance from engineers. - Validating and checking the functionality of prototypes for various systems like lamps, heating units, plumbing, etc. - Conducting component tests and documenting the outcomes. - Recording design details, specifications, and test findings. - Assisting in the preparation of documentation and contributing to commissioning and performance assessments. - Conducting quality control procedures. - Fulfilling any other duties as delegated.A successful candidate will have : - DEC or DEP in an electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering technologies - At least 2-5 years of experience within an R&D laboratory with experience in testing within the quality control process. - Analytical and creative thinker with good follow-up skills to work with the manufacturing plant on corrective action measures - Good knowledge (theoretical and practical) of all laboratory procedures. - Arranging the laboratory space and handling the setup, removal, and storage of products in development along with measuring instruments. - Interpreting technical drawings, electrical, and mechanical schematics. - Constructing prototypes and test benches, both electrical and mechanical, with guidance from engineers. - Validating and checking the functionality of electrical prototypes for various systems like lamps, heating units, plumbing, etc. - Conducting component tests and documenting the outcomes. - Recording design details, specifications, and test findings. - Assisting in the preparation of documentation and contributing to commissioning and performance assessments. - Conducting quality control procedures. - Fulfilling any other duties as delegated.A successful candidate will have : - DEC or DEP in electrical or electronic engineering or experience in testing electrical equipment within the quality control process. - Analytical and creative thinker. - Excellent knowledge (theoretical and practical) of all laboratory procedures.
