POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrical Journeyperson will take direction from the Electrical Foreperson. This position will be responsible to work collaboratively to connect all the wiring between the solar panels and inverters based on the drawing specifications, while adhering to the safety guidelines. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the growth of renewable energy and gain valuable experience in the solar industry.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Executing plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning PV solar systems
• Connecting solar panels and inverters and other high-voltage equipment to the power supply
• Assemble, install, test and maintain PV-related electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair damaged units

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Journeyperson ticket is required; Red Seal Electrician is an asset.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
• Previous electrical experience is required.
• Reliable and has a strong work ethic.
• Thorough understanding of construction procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

• Will be exposed to construction sites.
