Projects EstimatorJob title: EstimatorLocation : Lasalle, Quebec Employment type : Permanent, Full time Department : Finance Required language : Bilingual (French and English)Position OverviewThe Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates and bids for service contracts.This role sits within the finance function and is exclusively focused on cost estimation, financial analysis, and proposal preparation.The position involves collaboration with internal teams to gather required information for estimates, ensure accuracy of cost assumptions, and validate data used for pricing and bid development.The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and has experience in landscaping and/or winter services, including municipal and public sector contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & BiddingPrepare detailed andaccuratecost estimates for: Landscaping maintenance and turf management Seasonal planting and landscape enhancements Landscape construction and small-scale projects Snow and ice management services Evaluate labour, material, equipment, and production rates to develop competitive bids Review site plans, drawings, specifications, and tender documents (RFP/RFQ) Prepare compliant proposals for municipal, provincial, federal, and institutional contracts Analyze historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy and pricing strategies Financial AnalysisEnsure accuracy and consistency of data used for pricing Analyze historical performance and cost data tooptimizepricing strategies Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating models and cost structures Systems & DocumentationUse Aspire to develop estimates and structure bid data Maintain production rates, pricing sheets, and cost models Clearly document assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions in all proposals Ensure data integrity to support financial reporting and analysis QualificationsEducation & ExperienceUniversity degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Physics, or a related field 1 to 3 years of experience in estimating, analysis, or a similar analytical role Experience with government or institutional tenders (asset) Knowledge of landscaping or snow removal operations (asset) Skills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and numerical skills Ability to read and interpret site plans, drawings, specifications, and contracts Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Proficiencyin Aspire, LMN, or similar estimating/project management tools Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, collaborative, and sound judgment Additional RequirementsValid driver’s licenseBilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is required due to interactions with clients located outside Quebec.Comfortable working in a dynamic environment What We OfferA dynamic and inclusive work environment with growth opportunities Competitive benefits, including group insurance and wellness initiatives The opportunity to play a key role in the company’s success and growth A strong commitment to diversity, collaboration, and employee well-beingPIc4386f112479-34600-40438905
