National Controller - Road Logistics and Customs

Your Role

As our National Controller supporting our Customs and Road Logistics Business Unit, you will act as the business partner to provide financial expertise, strategic development support and collaboration and robust risk assessment, to drive and challenge sustainable, profitable growth whilst ensuring financial health. To show your financial and business expertise, you will ensure financial transactional accuracy, remain ICS compliant, provide accurate forecasting, and pro actively improve BU processes and efficiencies for our Customs and Road Logistics Business Unit.

Your Responsibilities

• Working as the Financial Business Partner to provide strategic development and support to the customs and road business units to ensure financial integrity, profitable growth and strong KPI health
• Review customer and product profitability and monitor / mitigate loss making departments and customers
• Analyze financial reports and KPIs such as unacknowledged items, customer ageing, deferrals and support business to ensure improvement actions taken
• Produce accurate forecast / target in conjunction with the business unit operations
• Identify risks and sensitivities provide guidance and recommendations
• Monitor continuously business development in terms of productivities, volumes and costs
• Drive continuous improvement of financial reporting regarding data quality, completeness and relevancy
• Independently process month end closing to ensure accurate revenue, GP and cost recognition, with minimal losses
• Control, monitor and adhere to ICS (internal audit controls) and corporate policies and guidelines
