Job Summary

As a Customs Team Part Manager, you will lead and manage a team of customs specialists to ensure the organization's compliance with customs laws and regulations. You will oversee daily operations, provide guidance and support to team members, and collaborate with other departments to optimize international trade processes.

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of customs specialists, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
  • Oversee all customs compliance activities, including import and export processes.
  • Ensure accurate product classification, preparation of customs documentation, and timely submission of customs entries.
  • Monitor team adherence to customs laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Provide ongoing training on customs regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, and other departments to align customs compliance efforts with business objectives.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on customs compliance metrics and provide updates to senior management.
  • Address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain smooth communication regarding customs documentation.
  • Coordinate customs clearance of shipments and tariff classifications.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Monitor clients' shipping processes to ensure compliance and identify process improvements.
  • Ensure daily processing of all transactions within the department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualification

  • Active Canadian Customs Broker License
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs compliance, with proven leadership capabilities
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., international business, supply chain management, customs compliance)
  • Proven expertise in customs brokerage for import / export operations
  • In-depth knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and international trade agreements
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean
