As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Customer Service Manager to lead our support team, drive quality assurance, and continuously improve service standards in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Role Overview

As a Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our offshore customer service team, ensuring high-quality interactions, and implementing best practices to enhance customer satisfaction. You will lead quality assurance efforts, conduct daily performance checks, and manage a team of agents to maintain exceptional service standards.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in quality control, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities. Additionally, a hands-on approach is essential—you’ll need to lean in and assist with tickets and calls when needed. At Hume Health, we operate with an all-hands-on-deck mindset, and true leadership means understanding and experiencing customer challenges firsthand.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing customer service team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure team morale and motivation remain high in a remote setting.
  • Maintain staffing efficiency by managing schedules and workload distribution.
  • Be willing to step in on tickets and calls when needed to support the team.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement and oversee quality assurance (QA) processes to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct daily spot checks on customer interactions (emails, chats, calls) to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Identify training gaps and implement improvement strategies.
  • Develop and refine KPIs to measure and enhance team performance.
  • Work closely with leadership to adapt customer service processes to align with business goals.
  • Operational Excellence & Problem-Solving

  • Establish and enforce best practices for customer interactions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalations, ensuring customer issues are handled promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, logistics, tech) to improve service efficiency.
  • Stay adaptable to the evolving needs of a fast-paced, startup environment , where priorities shift frequently.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service leadership , with a focus on quality assurance and performance improvement.
  • Proven experience managing a remote customer service team , preferably in the Philippines.
  • Strong QA background , with experience in monitoring and enhancing service quality.
  • Startup or fast-paced environment experience , comfortable adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills to develop and support team members.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with customer support platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom).
  • Background in E-commerce, SaaS, or Tech startups is a plus.
  • Experience in implementing AI / chatbot automation or self-service improvements.
