Position Title : Automation Technician Location : Niagara Region Salary Range : $75,000 - $85,000 + OT and Bonus
We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as an Automation Technician with our Niagara-based customer. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact in a heavy industrial environment, providing expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and control system maintenance.
Job Pitch :
As an Automation Technician, you'll play a vital role in the programming, implementation, and maintenance of Allen Bradley control systems. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to work in a fast-paced industrial setting, where your problem-solving skills will help minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
Develop PLC programs using Allen Bradley RSLogix software suite.
Configure HMIs for operator interface and system monitoring.
Diagnose and resolve issues with control systems to minimize downtime.
Conduct regular maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of automation equipment. Mandatory Requirements :
Electrical Technician Diploma or Licensed Electrician.
Proven experience in PLC programming with Allen Bradley ControlLogix or CompactLogix platforms.
Proficiency in HMI development using Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View or similar software.
Familiarity with heavy industrial processes such as manufacturing, mining, or utilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Requirements :
