With the planned departure of a successful Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and VP, Administration, an exciting opportunity exists in the role of CFO and VP, Administration for this dynamic organization. Leading a diverse portfolio that includes finance, campus development, information technology and procurement this executive will be joining one of BC’s most entrepreneurial post secondaries in a period that will demand (of all post secondaries in Canada) increased financial self-sufficiency. BCIT, with the help of a talented and experienced CFO and VP, Administration, will be in a unique position to leverage its assets in new ways - from its significant land holdings, to its strong partnerships with industry, government and others. A strong team is in place under the CFO and VP, Administration and have systems improvements, redevelopment and other key initiatives in the starting gates.
Reporting directly to the President and working closely with internal and external community, this individual will bring a proven track record in an executive position where finance and other aspects of corporate services have flourished under their leadership. An accounting or related financial designation is strongly preferred, as is a working knowledge of public sector or post-secondary. Exposure to real estate development will be seen as an asset. The CFO and VP, Administration will be passionate about serving at an award-winning polytechnic institute with an important and highly relevant mandate, bringing the requisite business acumen, innovative spirit, rigour, agility, global view and forward-thinking vision to preserve and enhance BCIT’s reputation.

The salary range for this position is minimum : $219,355; control point : $274,194; maximum : $315,323. The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and the maximum base salary for a position. The control point of the range represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and the control point of the salary range for a job, taking internal equity into account. Salaries above the control point may be considered for extenuating circumstances and must be approved by an external governing body.
