NorthStar Utilities Solutions is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions that help utility companies thrive in the digital era. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate QA Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a QA Analyst you will play a critical role in the design, development, and evolution of software solutions for our clients.
This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US. This role requires travel up to 10% of the time, including attending 1-2 Annual General Meetings per year and potentially visiting customer sites. A valid passport or visa is necessary for travel to Canada.
What your impact will be :
- Develop, execute, maintain test cases, test scripts and test plans based on product requirements
- Focus testing efforts considering factors such as risk assessment, priority and business impacts for the tests designed
- Enhance / extend or design new automated test frameworks for efficiency and repeatability
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, exploratory and user acceptance testing
- Document and report defects, providing clear and detailed information
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to review and communicate test progress, results and coverage analysis
- Perform regression testing after software updates to ensure existing functionalities are not adversely affected
- Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies, contributing to the overall quality assurance strategy
- Innovate in best automation, agile and continuous testing practices by trying new frameworks / technologies on the market and recommend their use
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing
